Using Jamod library,but problem in connecting slave device

Am using jamod open source but not able to establish connection with the slave device(PRO-M 100 meter,working on modbus protocol). Am a fresher working on this protocol. I used the facade,i.e.,SerialMasterFacade provided by jamod. But its not working.........
It would be very helpful if I get a piece of complete code (i.e., a java example on this) to establish connection.
