We have a number of applications that currently are running using ISA SA85 cards to Quantum PLCs We have purchased a Quantum NOE ethernet card. I would like to know if anyone knows how to get the Intouch 7.0 to communicate modbus over ethernet. As well the PCs you get now are Windows 2000. Will Intouch 7.0 run on Windows 2000?

Wonderware will run on W2k. There is a patch that you have to download.

As far as changing drivers, that's pretty straight forward. Just install the new driver and re-configure your access name(s) to get data from the new driver. If you're using the same driver but a different com link, shut down WW, modify the driver configuration to meet your new requirements, and start WW up again.

Good Luck,

intouch standard modbus drivers connect to TCP/IP Modbus. (Part of IO Servers supplied with Intouch)

Or there are a number of add in drivers available, or you could use Schneiders OFS (OPC Server)

MBEnet is a free driver from Wonderware and works real good. You will need an IP address for you Quantum. I would recommand to upgrade your Wonderware to either 7.11 or 8.0.
