Siemens S7 200 free port configuration

"Exactly" match? Well, how about an S7-200? What are you trying to do - communicate from an S7-200 to something else? What's the something else? On the other hand if you want another PLC to communicate to an S7-200, what better than another S7-200?

The free port as I understand it is exactly that - you can select/change the protocol as required. Do you want to connect something onto an S7-200 with the freeport option? What do you want to connect?

Freeport, as the name will imply, gives you the opportunity to write your own port driver freely for any serial device (upto 19.2 KBaud). For software, you can connect any PLC in principle, provided that you know the communication protocol. For hardware, you need to connect a PLC with RS485 interface if you do not want to use a converter.

Driver for Modbus is already available for freeport mode, therefore I recommend a PLC which is supporting Modbus (Other than another S7 device of course).
