I've read some Merlin Gerin PM500/Modbus posts here. I have issues connecting the PM500 with an AMJR-14 Modbus RTU master (http://www.csimn.com). The AMJR-14 manages to read registers from the PM500, but many of the requests sent to the PM500 are not responded to. As a result, the local AMJR-14 registers are changing values and measurements are not correct.

Do you have any hints or known issues about the PM500 power meter Modbus settings?

Maybe the MG product does not support the function code you are trying to use.

PM500 meters will respond fine to Modbus requests, but you must ensure the data address is correct and the request matches the data size.

PM500 meters don't like it when you request one word of a double word value and will lock up the comms. Check the manual for the addresses and data size.
