I have a Honeywell communication system that
uses Modbus and am trying to install it in a
plant that uses Profibus. The Modbus is on a
hot water boiler and the Profibus is the plant's
BAS system. The BAS system controls and changes
parameters on all HVAC systems, but the boiler
has a Modbus system. What can I use to make
them communicate between each other?

 

Hi there,

It sounds as if you would need a gateway. Assuming that there exists masters on both the Modbus and Profibus network, you would need a gateway that acts as slave on the networks. HMS has such a gateway, see:

Of course, HMS has several other combinations of slave/masters and other industrial networks.
