Modbus Register Writing
Software, including programming, OS issues, etc. topic
Posted by Amol on 5 January, 2009 - 5:56 am
Hi,

I am working on ABB SCADA and I have to communicate to an instrument with it. Primarily the address was the problem but I used HR followed by the number which I got through modscan for the particular registers and it worked. I can read the data on my software.

However, I have to write some registers too (holding type). In SCADA there are only two things:
1. Take input field to write the data
2. Define that tag as controllable in software.

I tried it but it's not working. Does someone know how to write it?

Hi,
Could you give me some directions on what code did you used in place of the HR? 4000?

I'm asking because I need to send tags from a Max 1000 DCS to a Scada.

I will appreciate your helps,

thanks,
Bari.
