First question can you use a Modbus/TCP Ethernet communication between GD multilin 369 and a compactlogix Ethernet port?

Second If so, how do you read the information off the GE 369 in the PLC?

Apparently <b>NOT</b>.

 

I think you would need to use a ModbusTCP card, not the normal Ethernet/IP cards used with Compactlogix. Unless you write your own ModbusTCP interface and implement it in the Ethernet/IP card.

One other option would be to use a gateway...

My understanding is that the GD multilin 369 has Modbus RTU, If so a Modbus RTU master to EtherNet/IP adapter gateway would be suitable. Such as: http://www.anybus.com/support/support.asp?PID=110&ProductType=Anybus Communicator
