Dear all,

I have program for VersaMax CPU001 port 2 as GE Modbus master. After I put PLC at run mode and quit Versa Pro soft. I can not onlive with the PLC through port 2. I think that after I put it to run mode the port work at modbus master, so It does not allows to connect at SNP mode any more. So, I have to reset the CPU and connect again.

Can I connect the CPU through port 1 with Versa Pro. soft ?

Best regards,

Yes, you can communicate SRTP, the programming protocol, through the VersaMax IC200CPU001 Port 1. Standard settings are 19.2, odd parity, 1 stop bit. Port 1 is a 9-pin D-sub RS-232; port 2 is a 15-pin, D-sub, RS-485. typically the second port uses a programming cable with a 232 / 485 converter. When you're connected through port 2, be sure the port settings are correct on port 1.

If your cable is one that allows you disconnect the converter, then remove the converter, attach a gender-changer and attach to port 1. A straight-through 9-pin cable also works.
