I'm having an application where I have 3 PLC's two master and one slave. With Modbus communication.

PLC1-MASTER
PLC2-MASTER
PLC3-SLAVE.

I wonder if that network I can make the turn PLC2 slave PLC1. There is this possibility?

I think modbus can have only one master in a network.

You are almost correct: A Modbus network can only have one Master at a time. You can have multiple Masters if you can "time share" the network. We offer a product http://www.miille.com/din366-10p.pdf that will allow multiple Modbus Masters to share a network of one or more slaves.

You can contact me off list at jmiille (at) miille.com for more information.

Our company manufactures several devices which enable multiple modbus RTU masters to communicate to a modbus RTU slave by multiplexing.
