i want to integrate energy meters to show readings on bms screen. same meters were used by BTU integrator for generating monthly billing. if i connect this meters to BMS PC it shows offline, any body can help me to sort this out?
1) use a Modbus/TCP to RTU bridge (so: Ethernet to Serial converter), then if both masters speak Modbus/TCP, you are good to go. If you need to 'convert' one or both of the masters also from serial to Ethernet, this might not be cost effective.
2) Some companies make simple serial 'sharing' devices for Modbus, one of the older ones I've seen is Calta's PLC09 Arbitrator, which allows 3 serial masters to share a single Modbus slave: http://www.calta.com/plc09.htm
If you are able to open up a Modbus TCP connection from both of you Masters, you can use either TGW-715 (For an RS-485 slave device) or TGW-712 (For an RS-232 slave device.
