notation confusion after reading the Modbus over Serial Line and the SN75176 specs (especially bias): is Modbus D1 to be connected to SN75176 Signal A (pin 6) and D0 to B (pin 7) or is it the other way around

I have: MODBUS Ethernet I/O Server v7.6.0.0 and InTouch v9.0. This combination doesn't work properly on Windows XP SP2, while runs nicely on XP SP1.
